Design Manager- Norway 

To €100,000 DOE + Rotation + Accommodation 

We are assisting one of the leading Design and Build Contractor operating in key sectors specialising in innovative, high-quality, and efficient building solutions. Due to continued growth, we are now in need of an experienced and detail-oriented Design Manager for data centre projects. As a Design Manager you will lead the design and planning team ensuring that all designs meet technical, operational, and strategic requirements including overseeing the design process, coordinating with various stakeholders, and ensuring that projects meet the highest standards of efficiency, reliability, and scalability.    

Key Responsibilities & Requirements:    

• Lead the design and development of projects, including space planning, layout, and systems integration that align with organisational goals and industry best practices.  

• Manage design projects from conception through to completion monitoring progress and resolve design-related issues and conflicts.  

• Work closely with managers, engineers, architects, and contractors to ensure seamless design execution. 

• Oversee the development of detailed design documents, including drawings, specifications, and technical reports. 

• Work closely with internal and external teams to gather requirements and ensure design alignment. 

• Communicate design concepts & progress including design changes, approvals, and project records to senior management. 

• Degree in Engineering/Architecture or related field.  

• Proven experience in data centre projects, methods of construction including experience managing design projects and leading design teams.  

• Strong understanding of industry standards, regulations, and best practices.  

• Proficiency in design software and tools. 

• Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
